David J. Bederman joined the Journal's Editorial Board in 2000 after serving as the Journal's Case Note Editor (1995-99). A professor of law at Emory University in Atlanta, he has authored numerous articles on international maritime law. Before joining the Emory faculty, he clerked for Judge Charles E. Wiggins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, was an associate with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling, and served at the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal. Professor Bederman holds an A.B. from Princeton University, a J.D. from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. from the University of London.
