Nicholas J. Healy joined the Journal's Editorial Board in 1969 and later served as the Journal's Editor (1980-88) and Co-Editor (1989-90). A senior partner in the New York City law firm of Healy & Baillie, LLP, he was for many years adjunct professor of maritime law at New York University. The author of numerous admiralty works, he is an honorary vice president of the Comité Maritime International, an associate editor of American Maritime Cases, and a past president of the Maritime Law Association of the United States. Professor Healy holds an A.B. from Holy Cross College and a J.D. from Harvard University.
