David W. Robertson joined the Journal's Editorial Board in 1996. The holder of the W. Page Keeton Chair in Tort Law at the University of Texas in Austin, he is the author of numerous articles on maritime law as well as the acclaimed treatise Admiralty and Federalism (1970). Prior to joining the Texas faculty, he was an assistant professor of law at Louisiana State University and a legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Russell B. Long. Professor Robertson holds a B.A. and an LL.B. from Louisiana State University and an LL.M. and a J.S.D. from Yale University.
