William Tetley joined the Journal's Editorial Board in 1980. After practicing law for eighteen years and then serving as an elected member of the Quebec National Assembly for eight years, he became a professor of law at McGill University in Montreal and Distinguished Visiting Professor of Maritime and Commercial Law at Tulane University. The author of numerous works on maritime law, he is an honorary member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and an honorary vice president of the Comité Maritime International. Professor Tetley holds a B.A. from McGill University and an LL.L. from Laval University.
